Democrats handled the Graham Platner situation very well

Although Republicans are desperate to see "disarray" in the Democratic Party's dismissal of Graham Platner, in fact, they handled the situation brilliantly. This pretty much guarantees a Democrat pickup of a couple of Senate seats, in Maine and North Carolina, and with several other vulnerable Republicans, it seems at least 50:50 at this stage that Democrats take the Senate majority in November. Certainly, it seems more than likely that the Democrats can tie up the senate at 50 seats for each party, making effective control of Congress in the hands of the Democrats, since they will almost certainly take the House by a comfortable margin. #politics
