The Geek's Raven
[An excerpt, with thanks to Marcus Bales]

Once upon a midnight dreary,
fingers cramped and vision bleary,
System manuals piled high and wasted paper on the floor,
Longing for the warmth of bedsheets,
Still I sat there, doing spreadsheets:
Having reached the bottom line,
I took a floppy from the drawer.
Typing with a steady hand, I then invoked the SAVE command
But got instead a reprimand: it read "Abort, Retry, Ignore".

ICE funding is likely to be cut severely in a partial government shutdown starting in February

The Democrats don't want a full government shutdown again, but, they've had enough of the ICE follies across the country. ICE will have to behave itself, or ICE will be dissolved as an agency. There will be no funding for ICE unless and until they leave the Democratic states alone. They can only work without pay for so long, and, that may not be very long. The Democrats can quite easily maintain a partial shutdown of the government till the November election, effectively crippling ICE, and they will gain popular support from doing so. The ICE goons have done enough damage, people want an end to their nonsense!
